The lymph system helps filter and drain fluid typically from our arms and legs. When the lymph system is damaged, painful swelling can occur. Left untreated, lymphedema also reduces oxygen, which can interfere with wound healing or increase infections. Our certified therapists utilize specialized massage, multi-layered compression bandages, exercise and elevation in their treatment.
An effective and non-invasive procedure, VitalStim® treats adults or children who have difficulty swallowing. Safe, external electrical stimulation in the neck causes muscles to contract. Combined with swallowing exercises, the treatment retrains the brain and strengthens the throat. VitalStim® not only offers a high success rate, but the results are typically long lasting.
Individuals make big improvements in their balance and walking through the LSVT BIG® program. Through amplified movements and exercise, patients learn how normal movements should feel. LSVT LOUD® program increases the loudness, intonation and clarity of speech in patients.
