For the protection of our residents, no visitors will be permitted at Oak Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care or Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. This precaution is to safeguard residents from COVID-19 coronavirus, a respiratory disease that can be detrimental to elders or to those with serious underlining health conditions. High-risk groups include those with lung (respiratory) or heart disease or diabetes.

Families and friends are welcome to call their loved ones at these communities to share their love.

Shirkey Nursing and Oak Ridge has also implemented these precautions, recommended by the Center of Disease Control (CDC) for long-term and assisted living care communities:

  • No group dining
  • No group activities, such as the St. Patrick’s Day events or monthly birthday party
  • 5 or less residents per group
  • Temperature checks for staff before each work shift.

One exception:

  • Families can be with their loved ones during the end of life.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Our top priority is health and wellbeing of our beloved residents.
