You can help our front-line health care professionals who are caring for our seniors at Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation, Shirkey Hospice and Oak Ridge Assisted Living during the COVID-19 crisis.

  1. Donate Face Masks

N95 masks or masks used in the construction trade are in great demand – and in short supply. Shirkey Health Services is in need of masks for our day-to-day operations of care and wellbeing to our elder residents and staff.

You can drop off your donations at the main entrance of Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 804 Wollard Blvd. in Richmond, during the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Contact us at 816-776-5403 prior to delivery, so a staff member can be on hand for the delivery.

  1. Make a Mask

Members of the community can make masks that will be used during typical health care interactions at our facilities. If you’d like to help, click on the link below from Atlantic Health System’s video on how to make a mask. Please note: Elastic is in short supply. Binding tape or ribbon to tie masks is acceptable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyDtrobkaxg
